GLOBALAB Challenge Contest
Accept The Challenge!
In 2015 United Nations Member States adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. This agenda provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries - developed and developing - in a global partnership.
We are challenging you to choose a global issue related to one of these 17 goals and take an action to respond to the chosen issue and participate in the GLOBALAB Challenge Contest. You can make your response by:

making a video,
-
writing an essay, blog post or an article
-
taking a picture
or any other idea you have on your mind that would express your concerns and awareness of how to solve it.
Some examples of possible actions:

students’ video campaign of raising awareness “If I Could Change the World “ or
-
this Instagram picture paying attention to global problems, or
-
a poem “Deadly Rains” written by Samuel Illingworth.
Who can participate?
The contest is open to young people from the following countries: Bulgaria, Lithuania, Spain, Uganda, Ghana, Tanzania.
How does it work?

Fill the online application form and upload your action or provide the link to it;

Upload your result or source link to the result till the 10th of March to your Instagram profile by using hashtag #globalabchallenge and mentioning @globalabgoesglobal;

Ask your friends to vote for your photo/video/essay by putting a ‘like’ to it. Spread your work everywhere, share it on Facebook or another platform to make more people interested in your action;

The voting will take till 31st of March;

The winners will be announced on the 15th of April.
Important details for creating your works for the contest

Video files should not be longer than 1 minute; any written text should not be longer than 500 words.

By submitting your work to the contest, you confirm that it is your original work produced and processed by you and does not infringe on any other right of a third party.

By participating in the GLOBALAB Challenge contest, you also give consent to the coordinators of this project, to use your photos/videos/texts for the visibility purposes of the project.
Award of the winners
If your action fits the criteria mentioned above, you could expect to be one of the contenders to succeed in this challenge!
The public interaction with their favourite photos, essay and videos counts! Only videos, pictures and essays sent to the organizer by filling in the application form as well as uploaded and posted on Instagram with #globalabchallenge can participate in this contest.
The winners will be awarded in each participating country by the local partner of the GLOBALAB project. They will be determined by the number of “likes” on Instagram (50%) and the evaluation of the jury (50%).[1]
